藝遊宇宙:蘇聯航太人文展

1957年10月4日,蘇聯第1顆地球人造衛星Sputnik 1(史普尼克1號)升空,正式開啟太空競賽。 1960年代,蘇聯在航空領域的先進成就,帶領人們探索地球以外的世界,進入蘇聯航空宣傳黃金時代。

此時是航空海報創作高峰,由於航空主題史無先例,因此藝術家能有全新的創作。宣傳海報常以星空或太空為背景,圍繞在英雄與理想的主題。除了太空人的描繪,人造衛星、太空動物、探索 月球也成為海報元素,加上紅藍對比的頻繁使用、濃厚的政治符號與口號,形成蘇聯航空海報鮮明的藝術形式。

Universal Trip of Creation : Exhibition on the Histories and Arts of USSR Spacefaring Race

In 4th October, 1957, the Soviet Union launched the world's first artificial satellite, Sputnik, into space. UssR's early achievement was seen as a challenge by America, and led the vigorous space race between them. In the 60s of twentieth century the Soviet Union (USSR) people pioneered space travel, turning their eyes towards the sky. We can see from testimonies and memorabilia, well-known spaceflight, cosmonauts, etc. USSR definitely navigated the modern age with advanced space technology and came to the golden age of Soviet space propaganda.

The sixties proved to be the peak period for the space poster, the imagery of spcae travel is unprecedented, that the artists could make the artistic creation on a brand-new perspective. Starry sky and outer space are common background of posters, artists add cosmonauts, satellites, space dogs, moon exploring to the paintings. With the effect of contrast colors, political symbols and slogans, the graphics from this period are well worth seeing, not only do they become synonymous with the space effort, it is one of the 20th century's most recognizable art forms.
